Today at Growing Up Movies, we celebrate childlike creativity in the form of filmmaking. One unique creative outlet for kids is movie making. I started making movies at the age of 12 in the late 1980s with the primitive, yet awesome Fisher Price PXL 2000 video camera. In this week’s videosode, I revisit the first movie made with friends in 1989 and how we recently made a new adult-told story around that old kid-made movie. Lots of people out there made movies when we were kids. Some went on to be professional filmmakers, some not. But it’s the joy of movies and movie making, which connects folks from all walks of life. I would LOVE to hear your personal filmmaking stories, so if you have anything you’d like to share, please comment and subscribe to the YouTube channel. Lots more fun nostalgic and childlike creativity awesomeness to come!
